"SroA is encoded in the intergenic region between thiB and yabN and overlaps with a riboswitch element in the 5' UTR of thiB. SroA may be generated by attenuation of thiBPQ transcription in rapidly growing cells. The half life of SroA in exponentially growing cells is 4 minutes (Vogel J,2003). The sequence of SroA is conserved between E. coli and Salmonella species (Vogel J,2003)."
